ALL CHANGES THAT WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT HAVE NOW BEEN UPDATED

IF YOUR DETAILS NEED TO BE CHANGED PLEASE CONTACT MARGARET

My name is Alex Dobson, I have invented a dog walking lead that allows a walker to control and handle 3-5 dogs at one time. I am looking for people that have 3-5 dogs who live within 2-3 hours of Sheffield or in the Cotswolds who might be able to spare 15-20minutes to test the product and provide me with valueable feedback. I would prefer if you had all the same breed or all as big as or bigger than a boarder collie. I am really excited to find out what people think and I look forward to meeting you. My email address is alexdobson@mac.com

The Alpha Agility Challenge 2009 is now up and running and I want to introduce the Alpha Wildcard. As you will know the Tennis & Golf worlds have wildcards to ensure that any worthy competitor is part of the final event if by chance they do not qualify in the normal way.

I want to introduce this to the 2009 competition and I am having difficulty in working out a simple, objective criteria to be used so thought it would be good to ask the Agility community for workable ideas. To find out how to have your say click here

There has been an amendment made to the wording for the SJDC qualifier in the Avon Schedule. It should read:

Open to all members of the Scottish Junior Dog Club only. There will be four qualifiers held throughout the year; each qualifying event entitles the top five [placed handlers (1st – 5th) to qualify for the ‘SJDC Junior of the Year’ final to be held at ACTS in September. If in the event a handler has already qualified, the next placed junior will qualify for the final. This process will be repeated until all 20 positions are taken up’

Cornwall Agility Club and Dartmoor DTC would like to thank everyone for their patience and support following the cancellation of the shows over the weekend of 25 and 26 April.  The committees of the two clubs will be working independently to consider costs and whether we are able to provide part refunds for competitors.
Cornwall Agility Club lost the majority of their paperwork and so would appreciate contact from competitors at the show on Saturday.  We have your names and your dog names but not the pieces of paper with the addresses.
Many thanks ruthclarkemail@aol.com

Dog Vegas January & February show
The venue owner at the UK arena, now says that the Feb show can go
ahead as planned on the 7th Feb, BUT the Jan show has to move dates by
a week instead. so instead of the 17th jan its now the 24th jan

Lisburn have been awarded Champ Agility status for 2009, 2010 & 2011 and our FIRST Champ Agility show will be held on Sunday 7th June we are also holding an Open agility show the day before.  This means that we now have two Agility tickets in Norn Irn  as Castlereagh will be holding their Champ show in October.

ATTENTION ALL ABC HANDLERS!!

It seems that there could be some misunderstanding about the Weimaraner Association KC Agility Show on 6/7th June.

I’d just like to clarify that this is an Open Show for ALL breeds of dogs and not just Weimaraners. Entries will be accepted from all breeds of dogs – small, medium and large.

The show is however, intended to be a celebration of ABC dogs and the majority of classes are “special” ABC classes. Conversely, there is a class each day that collies/working sheepdogs and their crosses can enter, which officially makes it an “Open Show”.

We have a superb venue with plenty of room for camping, so get your entries in soon to take part in the ABC  revelry! The closing date is 31st March.
